Looking to spend an evening in or a party at home with friends and a few drinks?

 Let’s mix things up a little and get creative at home with a Doodles Ceramics Workshop 

take-home pottery painting kit! 

Please note you do NOT need to email or call in advance to get a take home kit. Feel free to swing by the shop and pick your items and colours on the day but please be aware that it can take up to half an hour to get your kit ready.


We recommend coming in on weekdays when we will have more staff available to help you. Our weekends get very busy so there will likely be a longer wait on these days.

HOW IT WORKS

COME TO OUR WORKSHOP

We recommend the best way to pick your take home kit is to come to our shop in Marchmont and choose your items from the selection we have in store as our stock changes monthly. 

You don't need to call in advance, just pop by anytime. It can take up to half an hour to get your kit ready, especially on our busiest days (Sat and Sun).

CHOOSE YOUR ITEMS 

Take a look at our selection of pottery and pick whatever takes your fancy, there is no limit! We provide a set selection of colours for you to take away with you and a handy instruction sheet of dos and don'ts in your kit to help.
We will provide you with 10 paint colours (these are premade up, please note we cannot provide additional/alternative colours)
Note: we cannot provide easy-writers, speckled paint, sugar pens or etching tools in take home kits. We do not provide brushes in your kit but have them available to purchase in shop (£5 for x 3)

TAKE YOUR KIT HOME

Once you have chosen everything, you pay at the shop and then take your items home to paint.

GET CREATIVE!

This bit is up to you - we can't wait to see what you come up with! Top tips for painting here!

DROP OFF FOR FIRING

Once you have completed your masterpiece, just drop off your pottery to be fired anytime during our opening hours. We ask that you also return your  paints to us at this point.

PICK UP YOUR PIECE

Your piece will be ready to collect 10 days later. Just pop in to collect it when you can!

Choice of Colours

We provide a set selection of our most popular colours for use with our take home kits, with one pot of each colour shown on the right. Unfortunately requests for specific colours are not possible, as only a small number of paint pots are available.
  • Please return your paint pots when you drop your painted pottery off to be fired. We will sanitise these, ready for the next kit!
  • Brushes are available to purchase in-store for inclusion in your kit with 3 brushes for £5 - as we are not able to lend out brushes and these are not included in the Take Home kits.

•Collection will be from the workshop, we are open 7 days a week. Payment can be made by cash or contactless card machine on the day. 


•We are happy to provide all that you need, however if you have your own brushes or mini containers we are delighted if you want to use them.
